Valcho Aleksandrov Valchev

Born on 2.IV.1946 in Varba village, district of Vidin.
He graduated high school of fine arts “Ilia Petrov” in Sofia - 1965. In 1973 he graduated National Art Academy under guidance of prof. Velichko Minekov – decorative-monumental sculpture department. He is a member of Bulgarian Artist Union since 1979.
He is regular participant in all national sculpture exhibitions.

  • Independent exhibition in Sofia – 1975.
  • Independent exhibition in “TEA” gallery in 2001 - Sofia.
  • Independent exhibition in Sofia in Grand Hotel Sofia - 2005.
  • Takes part in international symposium in Otmanli – Bourgas - 1976.
  • Takes part in international symposium for sculpture in wood in Moravani-Slovakia - 1980.

His works are owned by National Art Gallery, Sofia Art Gallery and city art galleries of Dobrich and Strazhica.

His works are part of private collections in USA, UK, France, Japan, China, South Korea, Poland.
His finished projects /sculptures and ceramic reliefes/ are placed in Sofia, Belogradchik, Ruse, Karlovo, Silistra, Sliven, Dimovo, Varna, Targovishte, Kabile, Srebarna, Chuprene, Pamporovo, Check-points Vrashka Chuka, Bregovo and Vidin-Kalafat.

He is an author of many portraits – reliefes of school patrons, monumental reliefes and portraits of famous Bulgarians and also private people.

He is working in field of small plastic art.
